Celebrating Our Journey Together

Words From The Supervisor

SO Ying Lun PhD
Supervisor

The Wah Yan journey of growth is multi-faceted and rich with experiences.

It is...

About learning but also friendship;
About intellectual pursuits, but also cultural nourishment;
About having fun, but also having breakthroughs;
About this world, but also going beyond it to the transcendent;
About receiving, but also saying thanks and giving…

In similar fashion, the school is celebrating our Centenary through a rich array of events and you will find the above elements (and more) of the Wah Yan experience reflected, one way or another, in them:

  • Guinness World Record
  • Open Days
  • Centenary Gala Dinner
  • Jesuit Education Forum
  • Centenary Concert
  • Centenary Thanksgiving Mass

I encourage you to participate in all these events as far as possible – to bring back fond memories as well as to see Wah Yan anew – and in this way, continue to be inspired by our dear alma mater.

I look forward to seeing you at our Centenary events!

Words From The Principal

Ms. CHOW Tze Sze Cecilia
Principal

As we embark on this momentous journey to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Wah Yan College, Kowloon, I extend my warmest greetings to all Wahyanites, both past and present, as well as our friends across the globe.

For a century, our school has enjoyed the trust of the community and flourished under God’s grace. In reflecting on our rich history and heritage, we are reminded of the values that have shaped us into individuals of human excellence. This Centenary celebration is a testament to the enduring spirit of our Jesuit Fathers and the generations of Wahyanites who have entered our gates.

Throughout the year, we have curated an array of events to commemorate this milestone, including a Guinness World Record attempt, a Gala Dinner, Open Days, a Jesuit Education Forum, a Concert and a Thanksgiving Mass. We sincerely invite you to join us in these celebrations and share your own stories and memories of Wah Yan which resonate with different generations across the years.

As we gaze towards the future, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing innovative individuals of human excellence who will serve others and seek the greater glory of God. We ask for your support, particularly in Heritage Development and the preservation of Heritage Items, to help continue our legacy for future generations.

Let us come together to celebrate this remarkable occasion, and to ignite our dedication to the values that define our community. I eagerly anticipate seeing you at our Centenary events and sharing in the joy and pride of belonging to the Wah Yan family.
